Kennedy Creek Walk (Pakenham)

Kennedy Creek Walk (Pakenham)

This easy walk, about 2km one-way, takes you along a concrete path from Princes Highway to Manna Gum Drive along Kennedy Creek.

The nice little path is set on either side of Kennedy Creek among a residential area.

On the walk, watch the birds and listen to the creek along this natural wildlife corridor, look for birds living in the hollows of the Swamp Gum Eucalypts and listen for parrots chattering along the tree line.

Review:

A lovely walk with a surprisingly high number of different birds and trees along the creek. The walk is mainly on footpaths and there are a few seats along the way. Unfortunately dumped rubbish and shopping trolleys spoil the walk. Use the app "Snap Send Solve" to report any rubbish and hopefully it gets removed quickly.

It's best to walk on one side of the creek and then come back on the other side of the creek. There is a bridge across the creek around Manna Gum Drive.

At the southern end there was no water in the creek but as you get further north there's some water in the creek and there were a couple of ponds with ducks. Swimming is prohibited in the creek with a $220 penalty.
