Johnson Reserve Playground, Essex Street, West Footscray
The reserve has been upgraded and now has a very extensive playground with colourful climbing walls, flying fox with disk seat, small skate area and playground area with multiple play structures.
The biggest structure has a curved slide, shop front, abacus, fireman's pole, inclined bridge with steps, chain traverse, horizontal bars, chain net climbing wall, monkey rungs, monkey bars and hanging disk traverse.
Another structure for younger kids has a wave slide, little ladder, little climbing wall, disks on a vertical pole, tic-tac-toe, clock and steering wheel panel.
There is also a fun spinning cone, birds nest swing, standard swings, kangaroo springer, hammock and see-saw.
To complement the playground is a shelter with two tables and BBQ, an unshaded table, water tap and large grassy area.
