John W. Gardner Reserve Playground, Main Road, Beech Forest

A wonderful train and carriage carved out of wooden logs is the highlight. Also a big cone climbing frame constructed from rubber covered chain with ladders and nets, stand-on spinner, train springer and swings.
Three unshaded tables, BBQ, toilets and limited grassy area. Next to the toilets is a room with two tables which forms part of the Information and Historical Centre. This is the start of the Old Beechy Rail Trail. There is a nice metal sculpture showing the elevation along the Rail Trail. If you were planning to do the Trail, don't let that put you off.
