Hyde Park Playground, White Avenue, Kew East
Not a trace of the Serpentine in Hyde Park. A large playground which has been upgraded and has play areas for kids of different ages. The area for older kids has lots of climbing possibilities with a spiders web rope climbing frame, various climbing walls, ladders, rope bridge and dual slides.
The play structure for younger kids has a curved and straight slide, tic-tac-toe, shop front, rope bridge, rope tunnel, hanging disk traverse and stepping stones.
There is also a huge bee springer (which could make enough honey to keep even Winnie the Pooh happy), stand on spinner, four swings, circular spinner to sit on and get wickedly dizzy and a cute see-saw with animal seats (lion, elephant, tiger and zebra).
There are some unshaded tables and seats plus a water tap. 100m away is a basketball court and there are grassy areas for play.
