Huntly - Garden of Remembrance
A lovely Garden of Remembrance which has a nice little garden and chainsaw carvings commemorating the armed services.
The chainsaw carvings by Kevin Gilders were erected to honour the men and women of Huntly and Districts who served our nation during conflicts. The carvings include an army nursing sister, airman, sailor and a World War I soldier.
There is also a carved wooden seat and a board listing the enlistments in WWI with silhouettes of soldiers flanking it.
Around a grassy area with a memorial to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the end of WWII at its centre are gardens with rocks and plaques with information about local people who served in the war.
