Hughes Park Playground, Maroondah Hwy, Croydon North
Next to the Croydon Homing Pigeon club - the old playground which has been replaced was obviously enticed home to the scrap yard with the aid of some corn. The new playground has better equipment and some natural rock landscaping but is still quite basic and suited to younger kids.
There is a small standalone wave slide, swings, cubby with shop front, family sized see-saw, lotus leaf spinner with hand wheel, horse springer, monkey bars and small birds nest swing.
There is a table under a tree, two more unshaded tables, BBQ, water tap, toilets and an oval for play.
Hughes Park has an oval, tennis courts (Croydon North Tennis Club), cricket nets and pavilion. The reserve is home to Croydon North Cricket Club, Croydon North Veterans Football Club, Croydon Homing Pigeon Club and 1st Croydon Hills Scout Group.
