Hodgson Reserve Playground, 2 Higgins Road, Bentleigh
A large colourful structure under shade sails which has lots of ramps, monkey rungs, hanging disks, climbing mat, walkway of blocks, high wave slide, steering wheel, small slide, ladders, disks on a vertical pole, shop front, abacus, mirror, little tunnel and fireman's pole. Also two stand-on spinners, bug springers, lovely little play thing with a propeller steering wheel (?), three swings including one with harness. Bridge with musical bells to stand-on.
Shelter with two tables, seats with possible shade, water tap and toilets. There are two other playgrounds in this reserve. There is an outdoor gym in the north east of the reserve behind the GEKA Bentleigh Kindergarten.
- The open space sportsground area of Hodgson Reserve is off leash. However, it should be noted, that dogs must be on-leash within 20 metres of playgrounds and barbecues.
- The playground areas and upper level of Hodgson Reserve are on-leash at all times.
