Highett West Cricket Club
Highett West Cricket Club (Kookaburras) is a small, family friendly club with a proud history dating back to 1962. Today, the club has an active Junior program and successful Senior sides, playing with South East Cricket Association. The team also plays in the Mid-Year Cricket Association (MYCA). We welcome all new players.
The club is based at A.F Peterson Reserve in Highett.
Juniors
Highett West Cricket Club welcomes all new junior players to our club.
We offer cricket teams and activities for children and juniors through ages 5-16. Our programs provide fantastic opportunities for children to experience cricket in a fun and friendly environment. They learn skills associated with the sport, make friends, learn teamwork and build confidence and skill. Our coaches and club emphasise participation, inclusion, development and enjoyment.
For younger cricketers, Highett West runs Cricket Victoria's Blasters programs:
Woolworths Junior Blasters (5-7yrs)
Woolworths Master Blasters (7-10yrs)
Our Junior cricketers play in the South East Cricket Association (SECA), where the club fields teams in to following age groups:
Junior Cricket 1 - U11 Rookies
Junior Cricket 2 - U12s
Junior Cricket 3 - U14s and U16s
