Heywood Model Trains
The N Gauge layout displays a variety of model trains ranging in both type and size, and there is a small layout for children to have a go.
The Heywood Model Train Group run a variety of HO model trains, and the layout is over 40ft long. The layout has a Heywood theme of buildings with items on the layout ranging from farming to circus themes.
Multiple trains ranging from fright to high speed passenger trains rumble around the scenic setting. Tunnels, farms, towns and the all important rail yard are all set with their own special little scenes.
In addition to the model layout enjoy photos of diesel and steam engines. This display is not just for the train enthusiast or boy at heart.
It is located in the Old School Building in Edgar Street.
Opening Hours:
The Heywood Model Train Group opens on the second Saturday of each month (9am to 2pm), or at other times by appointment.
Cost:
A gold coin donation is appreciated upon entry.
