Hewison Reserve Playground, Orange Grove, St Kilda
Very spacious playground surrounded by fence with gates (non child proof). Structure with high curved slide, chain bridge, hanging ladder and hanging disks. Unusual flying fox (stand on platform, push off and go round in a circle back to start point), four swings, plastic tyre swing, four springers and see-saw. A second structure has monkey bars, slide, curved and spiral ladders. Rocks and wooden structures to scramble over.
BBQ, table, seats with shade. Some graffiti and scummy underside of all the poles detracts a little. All the landings have very soft material underneath so it is an ideal playground for clumsy kids.
