Hayes Park Playground, Flinders Street, Thornbury

A playground which blends in so well with the native bushland at the east end of Hayes Park that you wouldn't even know it was there unless I told you. The brown wooden structure, which is surrounded by log and rock stepping stones, has a wave slide, curved ladder, straight ladder, two traversing bridges of different types and a curved scrambling wall. A path leads to a river bed with little stones and a bridge and then onto swing, tiny see-saw and unshaded table. Further along is a birds nest swing, fairly large wood and rope climbing frame and basketball court.
