Hawthorn East Skatepark
An extensive street section and a large 2.0m capsule shaped bowl with a spine and rollover to a 1.4m square bowl. The street part has quarters, funboxes, banks, ledges and hipped ramps with vert.
Shade sails over part of the park, water tap, toilets, on-site cafe and shaded seat. Skate park is under 24 hour video surveillance (well at least according to the sign).
This is also called the Camberwell Skatepark or The Junction.
Opening Hours:
Junction Skate Park is free and open to the public at all times. Between certain hours there are qualified supervisors working at the park, happy to help out. See here for supervised hours.
The YMCA runs private and group lessons, Skate Club and school programs. They also have facilities to run birthday parties.
