Hardy Gallagher Reserve is located near Princes Park, along the Capital City Trail. It features expansive shady lawns, mature trees, playground, bocce court, BBQ, picnic tables, water tap, community centre / neighbourhood house and shared paths. It is a smallish grassy area dotted with trees with a road on the south side, shared use path on the north side and playground at the east end. There are no signs indicating it is an off leash area. There are tables, bin and water tap without a bowl near the playground.
It is an off leash area with the following restrictions:
- Dogs are prohibited within playgrounds at any time
- Dogs must be kept on-leash within 10 metres of playground areas
