Stamping is not like engraving, each letter is hammered into the metal by hand ~ so although effort is made to get everything uniform, imperfections do happen and are part of the craft.
Gold Fill is an excellent material that has 100% more gold than gold plating. Where gold plating is gold coloured metal usually over a copper core, gold fill is 14Kt gold mechanically bonded to a brass core. It wears beautifully, just like solid gold, you can wear it all the time and it wont mark your skin.
