Hampton Childrens Playhouse (Hampton)
The Hampton Children's Playhouse is one of Melbourne's best community facilities for young families. It runs as a parent co-operative with support of the Bayside council, and offers a place where parents and pre-school children can play and learn together in a safe environment.
Playhouse has been operating since 1978 - started by a group of local mothers aware of the isolation that often accompanies parenting. It is organised in a way that you can visit any day of the week without making a booking or nominating a preferred day. The emphasis is on providing a welcoming, relaxed, caring environment created by members, for members.
