Halls Outdoor Education School Holiday Programs and Camps (Emerald)
School holiday camps are our specialty. 6 full fun packed days of excitement and entertainment for kids aged 5 - 12yrs old.
Camps are held at Wombat Corner which is an accredited camp situated in Emerald in the Dandenong Ranges only 50km from Melbourne. It is surrounded by Emerald Lake Park and Wright Forest with the lake itself only one minute walk from the front door. This 60 hectare park land is a fantastic area for water activities, bush walks, nature studies and a stop for the famous old steam train, Puffing Billy. Combine this with all the indoor and outdoor activities which are available at the camp itself and you have the opportunity for a great program for any age group.
Our school holiday camps have been operating for over 20 years and we run camps every School Holidays!
We cater for children 5 -12 and provide exciting and fun filled holidays in a safe and friendly atmosphere. The standard of care is first class with your child's safety and well being our number one priority. As soon as the children arrive at camp they are assigned to a group with a leader who is their main carer for the week. We find that the children within each group become immediate friends whom share their experience over the course of the week.
Our leaders work and stay on-site overnight to ensure that all children have access to a leader twenty-four hours a day. This approach gives the child (and parent/s) not only a sense of security but an effective program full of fun.
Whether your child is a seasoned camper or it's their first time they are bound to have a ball with our team at Wombat Corner!
All of our leaders are enthusiastic and responsible young adults who are both passionate and experienced in working with children. All leaders hold current Working With Children Checks and First Aid qualifications and many have been working with us for a number of camps.
Activities on offer at Wombat Corner include Puffing Billy, archery, flying fox, mini golf, canoeing (ages 10 years and above), night walks, concert night, disco / party night, bushwalks, movie night, basketball, pool table, soccer table, table tennis, swimming pool, initiative activities and ropes course.
