Halls Gap - Clematis Falls
Clematis Falls is an easy 2.4km return stroll from Halls Gap's recreation oval. Wind your way through tall open forest to find yourself at the foot of the falls. The easy walking track makes Clematis Falls a lovely destination for walking with children.
Clematis Falls is a seasonal waterfall and is best viewed after rain. The flow of water varies significantly and during the winter months between April and August are best period to observe higher flows.
Visit in spring and enjoy the many variety of wildflowers and keep your eyes peeled for native wildlife such as kangaroos and emus.
There is a rocky section leading to the base of the falls but the rest of the path is accessible for prams.
If you want a longer walk, combine it with Chatauqua Peak and / or Bullaces Glen and Venus Baths.
