H.A Smith Reserve Playground, Reserve Road, Hawthorn
Next to Monash Freeway but the noise levels weren't too bad. Playground has a transport theme with a large dune buggy, bicycle springer, steering wheels scattered about, an overpass and "roads" bisecting the area. It has a touch of real character.
The structure has ramp, steps, wave slide, walkway, curved ladder and nice straight tunnel slide. There are climbing walls with real climbing wall holds and curved flying fox. One seat under sail cloth. Other seats and table without shade.
The reserve has a skatepark and outdoor gym.
Access for Dogs:
H.A Smith Reserve is a dog off leash area.
