Melbourne has more than 70 cinemas ranging from chains offering a variety of luxurious options, beautiful historic art-deco cinemas, independent family owned theatres, child friendly movie theatres, giant IMAX screens, drive-ins and outdoor cinemas.
Some of the experiences offered are:
Village Gold Class - Includes luxury reclining seats, curated food and drinks selection, bar, personal waiter service and lounge access to use before and after your movie
Village Vmax - Includes supersized wall-to-wall screens, large comfortable seats with ample leg room and enhanced immersive sound system such as Dolby Atmos. Vmax costs an additional $3.50 surcharge on top of your normal ticket pricing
Village Vpremium - Includes alcoholic beverages, seating for couples with a table between every pair of seats
Village Vjunior - Combines movies and play for kids. Vjunior features a dedicated play area in the foyer and cinemas that are specifically designed for kids with a big slide, modified volume and lighting levels, specialised menu for kids and a variety of seats. Tickets for Vjunior are $3.50 more than standard ticketing prices.
Village 4DX - Feel the film with a range of special effects such as motion, scents, water, wind, lightning and fog.
Village Cinema Europa - Includes a comfortable lounge space to catch up with friends before or after watching a movie with an extensive cafe-style menu and alcoholic beverages available.
Hoyts Xtremescreen - The largest auditorium which boasts the biggest and loudest cinema experience on offer with a gigantic screen.
Hoyts Lux - Premium dine-in cinema experience which combines fine wine, premium food and comfort with cutting edge sound and visuals. Includes recliners with easy-to-use controls and an attached wooden table.
Hoyts Recliners - Each seat features a powered recliner and boasts extra leg room, wider seating and extra comfort.
Hoyts D-Box Motion Recliners - An immersive with seats that move in sync with all the on-screen action. You can personalise the motion intensity between low, normal and high.
