Great Western Recreation Reserve Playground, Paxton Street, Great Western

I think the rating of the playground improves depending on how much Great Western wine you've drunk. A shaded playground with wave slide, tunnel, abacus, ladder with funny face shape, walkway and even more ladders. No swings which is a cardinal sin for any playground.

Shelter with BBQ and two tables, three unshaded tables, RSL memorial, free to use tennis courts, some grassy area and toilets.

The reserve has a memorial to Mrs. Eliza Lipson Allan of Allanvale and Concongella Stations who was recorded as "The first white woman to die in the district on March 15th 1845, aged 26".
