Banjo Park Playground, Grazing Way, Clyde North
The highlight of the playground is a fantastic water play area based around a flowing stream of water which is most suited to younger kids.
The long stream, which runs along the length of the playground, starts at the top of a big, soft mound where there is a pole with a button. From this point water flows strongly from under a rock down the hill in a rocky channel and when the channel flattens out below there are balance beams criss-crossing the stream. The stream then spreads out to an area with sluice gates, hand pumps, water pools and water sprays which are covered by shade sails.
Apart from the water play area there is a climbing area with a big jumble of logs with a rope net, swings, huge expense of rope tunnels spread across the top of big soft mounds, concrete slide, log steppers, cup to sit in and spin around and birds nest swing.
At the south end near the water play pools is a shelter with two tables, BBQs, water taps and toilets. At the northern end is a shelter with table, BBQ, water tap and basketball half court.
There's a large open grassy area on the side.
This playground is sometimes called Smith Lane Adventure Park.
Note: If the water is not running, there is a button at the top of the hill near the slide (top of waterfall) that you need to press for it to work.
