Gordon Studio Glassblowers is owned and operated by Australian glass artists Eileen Gordon and Grant Donaldson. Over the years Eileen and Grant have created a wide vocabulary of blown forms, revisiting and refining earlier shapes whilst extending experimentation and their mastery of colour, scale and understanding of the capricious nature of glassblowing.

The gallery incorporates rural views, landscaped exteriors with a bright and open interior space, enabling customers to view a large range of finished art works on display. All are welcome to visit the art glass gallery during open hours.

Review:

A visit here is a wondrous experience. Totally exquisite blown glass work which is very expensive to buy but totally justified in terms of the cost of making and the quality skills and imagination to create.

There is an overhead gallery so you can see the glassblowers working. Unfortunately the glassblowers do not have regular working hours so you may not always see people working when you visit. However, there are a number of informative panels explaining the process, from sand to finished art work.

Keep the kids outside if they are clumsy or tend to touch things, otherwise it may become a very expensive visit. The sound of broken glass could wreck your week. The outside area has lots of beautiful glass items as well as a table and seats.
