Gordon Barnard Reserve Playground, Tuxen Street, Balwyn North
Pleasant playground. Main structure has nice spiral slide, walkway, spiral ladder, steps, pipe walkway of "buckled bridge" shape, chain traverse, monkey bars, flying fox, hanging chain climbing wall and a large climbing wall with very difficult horizontal holds. Can playground designers please give the poor kids a chance at least. I have done rock climbing for more than seven years and I was embarrassing myself trying to get up this wall. Also see-saw, four swings, two springers, wooden boat with two steering wheels and separate (easier) climbing wall.
Tables with shade. Water tap. Right next to goal posts of the neighbouring oval, so keep an eye out for a flying football when the big full-forward lines up for a goal.
