Goornong - Englishs Bridge Streamside Reserve
English Bridge Streamside Reserve, which is located close to Bendigo, has a a free campground with swimming opportunities for all experience levels in the Campaspe River.
There is free camping beside the river with space for caravans, RVs and camp sites. There are limited facilities here but there are some tables and wood fire barbeques.
There are swimming possibilities on both sides of the bridge - one side has a shallow section for children and the other side is deeper for experienced swimmers.
Access for Dogs:
Dogs are not permitted at the Englishs Bridge Streamside Reserve which is to the north of English Bridge Road and managed by Parks Victoria. However dogs are permitted on-leash at the campground south of English Bridge Road.
How to get there
English's Bridge Streamside Reserve is located at the Campaspe River along English Bridge Road between River Road and Elmore-Barnadown Road.
There is also another camping and swimming area close-by at Rocky Crossing.
