Glen Park Playground, Glen Park Road, Bayswater North
Playground has been upgraded and now has a lot of individual elements without feeling like a really cohesive sum. The highlights are a huge 6m high pyramid rope climbing frame, very long structure with lots of traversing elements and a birds nest swing. There is also a lotus leaf with hand wheel, two stand-on spinners, big circle which you hang on with your arms and spin around, two person suspended rocker, hillock with two small slides, drums, steeping stones, disk to stand on and spin around, spiral pipe with bead to get from one end to the other and big soft platypus and frog sculptures.
There is a super metal sculpture of a kid with animals and birds.
Shelter with seats, shelter with BBQs and tables, water tap and other shaded seats. Next to an oval, basketball courts, outdoor gym and free public tennis courts.
A special feature is the learners bike track with different surface textures for bike, trike and scooter riders.
The playground is connected to the Dandenong Creek Trail for easy walking and cycling access.
Glen Park also has a community centre with cafe (open Monday to Friday)
