G.L Basterfield Park Playground, Dane Road, Hampton East
The centrepiece of the playground is a large climbing frame with lots of rope nets on the sides and roofs, big thick rope traverse and some climbing walls on the ends. The climbing frame is under a shade sail.
Around the edges are three stand-on spinners in the shape of water reeds, a variety of carved animals including a platypus and crocodile, some musical instruments where kids can bang a clanger against pipes or even flower petals, spinning carousel, birds nest swing and two standard swings.
Shelter with two tables, lots of unshaded tables, BBQs, water tap, grassy area and toilets. Near a lake so need to be attentive.
