Snowy Mountain Rider Tours
Snowy Mountain Rider Tours operates a variety of Horse Trail Rides through the High Country of the Alpine National Park and the nearby farming district of Gelantipy and Wulgulmerang.
Based at Karoonda Park, one-hour rides take in the scenery and wildlife about the property. Longer half day to multi day treks venture deeper into the bush over increasingly mountainous terrain. "The Meadows", is a favoured half day loop, providing magical views over the Snowy River Valley. Multi day trips through The High Country are an unforgettable experience.
A Trail Ride is a featured part of any stay at Karoonda Park, where all rider levels of ability are catered for. Lessons are run for both beginners and advanced riders in either private or group classes. Group Horse Trek bookings are welcome, contact us for a tailored program and quote.

Snowy River Expeditions offer a broad range adventure based experiences and tours in Victoria's Snowy River Country. White Water Raft the Snowy River, Abseiling, Caving and Climbing around Buchan, Bush walk the High Country Wilderness or Tour the tracks about the Gelantipy Region. Regardless of which adventure undertaken, You will gain a unique insight of this magnificent region.

Karoonda Park offers a variety of accommodation styles for individuals, couples, families and groups. Use us as a base for your own exploration, or compliment your stay on one of our Snowy Mountain Rider Tours or Snowy River Expeditions Trips. Up here in the mountains we experience a variety of weather conditions year round. Summer temperatures may reach the mid 30 degrees, though it has also dusted snow at Christmas time. Mostly the days are quite mild, with March to June generally offering the clearest weather. Regardless of the month it is advisable to pack a jacket.
Each night you are welcome to join us for a hearty home cooked country meal - bookings preferred. Cooked breakfasts and lunches available.
