Gawler Chain Playground, Tyrell Street, Mont Albert North
All aboard the rocket which is ready to blast off into space. Climb up the steep wooden boarding bridge to enter the rocket and when you return from the moon take the wave slide back to earth. There is also an inverted U-shaped see-saw which revolves around, swings and a wooden log car with steering wheel.
The area is landscaped with logs and rocks and beside the playground is an unshaded table. Look out for the unicorn in the clump of trees. There are some clues that there are fairies around but they were too well hidden for me to find them. There are large grassy areas dotted with trees. The play space is suited to little kids and doesn't have any elements for older kids.
The playground was upgraded in 2016.
