Gateway Sanctuary (Leopold)

Gateway Sanctuary is an aesthetically pleasing reserve with an extensive playground for the kids.

Gateway Sanctuary has a strong environmental focus and is home to a vast array of wildlife within its plentiful open spaces. Gateway Sanctuary also has social and BBQ facilities.

Review:

There is a decent sized lake set in nine hectares which you can walk around and has lots of very friendly water birds which approach you rather than try and run away. Even swans with youngsters swam towards us. It is an interesting walk around the lake with a number of arched wooden bridges to cross. There is no swimming in the lake. There are seats and a water tap on the path around the lake. There is a nice playground near the entrance. In this area is a shelter, BBQs, toilets and tables.
