Warburton Water World Playground

The Warburton Water World Playground is summer heaven which includes a super playground with a massive 10m high Adventure Treehouse with two huge slides like twisting snakes, climbing area, junior area AND a water play park which includes a drenching bucket and water sprays. The water park is active from 10am to 7:30pm.

Tubing Along the Yarra River
The Yarra River forms a great lazy river at Warburton. Bring a lilo or grab a tube from the local hardware store and leisurely float down the Yarra. Start near the Warburton Water World / Warburton Caravan Park and float a few kilometres to Thomas Avenue in town.

Paddle in the Yarra River

There are series of rock embankments beside the Yarra along Thomas Street in the centre of town which provide access to the river for a dip or paddle.

Side Trip from Warburton to Mount Donna Buang

If you are visiting Warburton, why not take a trip to Mount Donna Buang which is only a 20 minute drive away. The summit features a lookout tower which is 21 metres high and gives panoramic views across the park and way beyond. It is also a popular picnic area and starting point for walks on the mountain.

On the way to the summit, stop at Donna Buang Rainforest Gallery and Skywalk which features a 40 metre long observation platform which takes you into the rainforest canopy 15 metres above the ground. A 350 metre long elevated walkway takes you through the Rainforest Gallery where you will see magnificent 65 metre tall old growth Mountain Ash trees, ancient Myrtle Beech trees (many of which are 300 to 400 years old), ferns, mosses and other plants that make up this damp and diverse rainforest environment.
