Frankston Skatepark
This is possibly the best Skate Park in Australia! The site at the back of the Samuel Sherlock Reserve, is the second largest skate park in Australia, measuring 97 metres long and 35 metres wide. It features a street plaza-style course along with a combo bowl and kidney bowl, making it the envy of every skater in Australia.
This park is great for both vert and street skaters. There is a large street plaza with ledges, double sets, kink rails, banks, manual pads and lots more. There is a mini capsule bowl with extensions with concrete coping. There is also a large kidney bowl 3.4m in the deep and 2.1m in the shallow with pool coping.
Amenities include:
- Split level concrete viewing area
- Cafe table and chairs, ideal for spectators and adult viewing
- Toilet facilities maintained daily and checked on an hourly basis
- Shaded areas available for skaters and passive onlookers
- Secure lockers are also available for park users
- Water fountain
YMCA staff are located at Frankston Skate Park most days during peak times, including after school, public holidays, weekends and school holidays.
YMCA Skateboarding lessons: YMCA offer a great introduction to skateboarding, with private and group lessons available for all ages and abilities.
