The dog park is located at the extreme end of Fotheringham Reserve. One way of getting there is to park near the intersection of Alexander Avenue and Alsace Street and then walk south along the Eastlink trail for a short distance on-leash. A significant portion of the off leash area is fenced and you may get the impression that is is totally fenced but there are sections in the south west and north west corners without fencing. The west side is a fence against the Eastlink freeway.
The off-leash area is a decent area (140m x 40m) which is mainly grass but has some clumps of trees. The grass can be a bit low and boggy at times. There is a water tap with bowl and bins surrounding the park.
