Fairview Park Playground, Fairview Street, Hawthorn
A long walk from the road to the playground and coming back is a steep climb up the hill. A grandfather carrying his grandson up the hill did not bode well for the return journey.
The playground is fenced and sits in the middle of a very popular dog off leash area. The play structure has a lot of elements but lacks sparkle. The structure has a spiral slide, bridge, chain ladder, tunnel, step disk bridge, fireman's pole, chain bridge, flying fox, monkey bars, wave slide and access via a ramp and steps. There is also a tyre swing, four standard swings (one with a harness) and cute spinning seat and table.
There are two unshaded seats within the fenced area and a water tap. A short distance away is the Yarra River.
Access for Dogs:
Fairview Park is a dog off-lead area.
