Emerald Lake Road Playground, Emerald
Next to Emerald Library. Obviously a playground for the playful, studious types. The playground has a partial fence which is reasonable protection from the traffic. Shaded by six big trees. Most of the equipment is integrated. The high main structure has a good wave slide, variety of climbing walls, hanging chain ladder, tunnel, play area underneath, unusual ladder and inclined balance beam. This is connected to monkey bars, vertical chain climbing frames, hanging disks and flying fox.
Also a smaller structure with steps, inclined rigid climbing ladder, coloured balls, shop front and slide. There are the mandatory train shaped springer - which is a size and shape which proves a lot easier to get on than off. Getting off usually involves squeals of "I'm stuck". Seat with shade.
