Elster Creek Trail (Brighton East - McKinnon)
Elster Creek Trail is an east-west lineal park with a shared path connecting Brighton East and McKinnon. It's one of the best walks in Glen Eira and is also popular with cyclists, who use it for recreation and commuting. There is a bike repair station and rubbish bin along the route.
Elster Creek Trail starts at Elwood Canal (at the intersection of Hawthorn Road and Union Street), which used to be an open creek. From there it continues east for 1.3 kilometres through Brighton, Gardenvale and Brighton East, before winding up at Allnutt Park, McKinnon.
Access for Dogs:
Elster Creek Trail is an on-leash area, which means you must keep your dog on-leash at all times. Allnut Park has a dog off leash area.
