Eildon Park Tennis Club (Rowville)

Eildon Park Tennis Club is a well established and thriving tennis club in Rowville and one of the larger clubs in South Eastern Melbourne. With 9 synthetic grass courts and a fantastic number of members, Eildon Park Tennis Club can accommodate for all junior and senior skill levels from 3 to 5 year old children in the Hot Shots Community Play, social play, to Grade One Pennant competition.

Eildon Park Tennis Club as a community is a friendly environment, and really aims to uphold a great relationship with its members. Heading down to the courts on a weekend or weekday evening showcases Eildon Park Tennis Club at its peak; an infectious ambiance and a friendly community with a shared love of tennis.

Eildon Park Tennis Club is very active in participating in various organised competitions including Tennis Victoria Pennant, Waverley District Tennis Association (WDTA) and Knox District Night Tennis Association (KDNTA) competitions. The club has many junior and senior teams in these competitions.

For the last 5 years, Eildon Park Tennis Club has been a Tennis Australia Ball Kids Trial venue with many of our own junior members going on to be ball kids at the Australian Open at Melbourne Park in January each year.

Eildon Park Tennis Club has over 40 junior and 30 senior teams playing each week. Over 1,000 members and visitors visit the club every week.

Competition
Eildon Park Tennis Club is very active in providing competitive tennis options to its members. We strongly encourage our members to get involved and enjoy the benefits of a little healthy competition and a good hit. We offer levels of competitions to suit beginners to advanced players, young to not-so-young players. Eildon Park Tennis Club is involved in the following competitions:

Juniors - EPTC enters junior (up to age 18) teams into the Waverley District Tennis Association (WDTA) Competition on Saturdays and Sundays. The gradings range from beginners up to an advanced level of tennis to accommodate all players of different skill levels. We offer both a Winter season, from April onwards, and a Summer season, from early October onwards, in a 14 week season plus finals series.

Seniors Weekends - It is a great atmosphere at the Eildon Park Tennis Club courts on a Saturday afternoon. Usually all courts are occupied as we offer Waverley District Tennis Association (WDTA) competition and in the winter months Tennis Victoria Pennant competition. A great afternoon of some quality tennis on the court followed by a relaxing afternoon tea/BBQ with your teammates and opposition is a really enjoyable way for anyone to experience the sport. We are one of the largest competitive clubs in the WDTA competition which is played on Saturday afternoons. There are two seasons; Summer (October to March) and Winter (May to September). Competition formats include singles/doubles rubbers, men's doubles and mixed doubles.

Seniors Night Tennis - Eildon Park Tennis Club has various options available for players wishing to play night tennis. This is an excellent way to enjoy a hit of tennis at your level on one (or more!) evenings a week. It also caters for the time poor parents in need of some fun and activity to break up their busy week. There is a choice of nights and formats to suit you. Matches start at 7:30 pm and generally finish by around 10:00 pm.
- Monday night Mixed Doubles competition played in the Knox District Night Tennis Association (KDNTA).
- Monday night Mens and Ladies Doubles competition in the Waverley District Tennis Association (WDTA).
- Tuesday night Mens and Ladies Doubles competition played in the KDNTA.
- Wednesday night Mixed Doubles played in one of KDNTA and WDTA competitions (we offer both).
- Thursday night Open (Singles/Doubles) played in KDNTA competition.

Mid Week Ladies - Eildon Park Tennis Club provides competition tennis for ladies during the daytime! It's always a great morning and a great hit of tennis. We currently have four teams competing on Thursdays however there is opportunity to play on Wednesdays if there are sufficient players of similar ability to form a side. Those teams compete in either the Dandenong or Waverley district competitions which includes clubs throughout the South Eastern Suburbs.

Mid Week Mens - Keen competition played in good spirit! Competition features are:
- Played on Wednesday mornings: 9.30am - 12.30pm (approx.)
- Open aged: from 20's to 80's
- Five grades catering to all standards

Social Night Tennis - Wednesday night social tennis is an inhouse, all abilities, all ages, mixed format so everyone is welcome! The structure is an open, variable format dependent on attendees and their preferences. This could include doubles, Fast4, singles, etc, followed by light snacks and drinks at bar prices.

Tennis Victoria Pennant - competitions are conducted in Winter (April to August) on both Saturday and Sunday afternoons, however teams and players compete on one day or the other (until finals). The format features best of 3 set singles matches, alternating on each 2nd weekend with two best of 3 set doubles matches.
