Edinburgh Gardens (North) Playground, Alfred Crescent, Fitzroy North

The playground, which is mostly under shade sails, is suited to younger kids. The structure for toddlers has some steps, small slides, tunnel and bridge. The structure for slightly older kids has a ramp, bridge, panels to keep the kids entertained, rope net, little climbing wall and monkey rungs.
There is also a big drum which kids can jump up and down on, spinner with cup seats, birds nest swing, three standard swings, sandpit and plenty of log steppers.

On the side is a picnic area with five tables (some with chess and backgammon boards on top), BBQs, water tap and toilets. There is a table tennis table, skatepark and huge grassy areas (much of which is dog off leash). At the playground you more likely to be accosted by pigeons than dogs. There is plenty of free parking around the outside of the park.
There is another nice fenced playground in the south of the park.
