E.A. Coulson Gardens Playground, Chifley Drive, Maribyrnong
The playground has had an upgrade and can now keep most kids entertained. One area is Action Jackson territory which has a large, colourful domed metal climbing frame, slanting wood and rope climbing frame, fun whirly gig which you sit on and spin around and a hammock (for the less adventurous).
The other main area has a fun play structure with slide, activity panels, net bridge, spiral ladder, pipe musical instrument, slide and steps. This area also has a stand-on spinner, cup to sit in and spin around, birds nest swing, standard swings, off centre donut ring which revolves around, Bertie Beatle springer, carousel with seats, sandpit with digger and sand play table and a log balance course.
In the middle is a shelter with two tables, unshaded table, BBQ and water tap with bowl. Additional facilities include a basketball / netball court, toilets and big grassy area dotted with trees. There are more unshaded tables and BBQs across Chifley Avenue and next to the Maribyrnong River.
