Douglas Maggs Reserve Playground, Strathfield Parade, Croydon
Fun and interesting playground which is named after Douglas Maggs who was a prominent orchardist in the area and thus the fruit theme. It is beautifully done by the council but unfortunately there are no apple cider stands for Dad to quench his thirst.
There is a large pear (Packham pear maybe?) structure with dual slides, chain ladder, little tunnels and a really nice maze panel. There is an apple shaped climbing frame, stand-on spinner and wooden A frame for climbing. Swings.
Set next to a lovely row of pine trees with two beautiful unshaded apple and pear seats. Reasonable size grassy area next to a fairly quiet road.
