Diamond Valley Brass Band (Greensborough)
Diamond Valley Brass Band is a community brass band committed to playing great music and enjoying ourselves.
Regarded as one of Melbourne's finest B grade brass bands, the Diamond Valley Brass Band was formed on the 12th December 1979 and rehearsed for the first time on 23rd January 1980. Based in Greensborough, Victoria, the band consists of approximately 30 community members who are brought together by a love of brass music.
Over the past 30 years, the band has entertained a wide variety of audiences at community festivals and functions in the cities of Banyule, Nillumbik and Whittlesea. The band has also performed at special events such as the Melbourne Moomba Parade and over the years has had the opportunity to perform with celebrities such as Rhonda Burchmore, Frankie J Holden, Denise Drysdale and Johnny Young.
The band regularly competes in State and National Brass Band Championships and has had much success on the contest stage.
We have both a Senior band and a Junior band.
Diamond Valley Brass rehearses on Thursday evenings at the Greensborough Senior Citizens Hall, 203 Henry St, Greensborough.
