De Chene Reserve Playground, Bell Street, Coburg
A medieval fort with drawbridge, two metal slides (one high and the other wide), big scrambling wall, fireman's pole, metal pipes to hit a clanger against, clock, distorting mirror, shop front and steps up to the ramparts. The only things missing are Merlin the Magician and a moat with snapping crocodiles. Big sandpit with digger, four swings, stand-on spinner, see-saw and plenty of rocks and tree stumps to jump across.
Unshaded tables, water tap and next to an oval (plus busy Bell Street). There is an outdoor gym with two gym stations in the reserve. There is parking available at the corner of Urquat Street and Armstead Avenue.
