Dandenong Ranges Horse & Pony Club (Belgrave South)

Established initially back in 1947, Dandenong Ranges Horse & Pony Club is one of few clubs associated with Pony Club Victoria who actually owns their grounds. Situated at Lloyd Park in Belgrave South, regular events are held at our grounds including monthly rallies, dressage and show jumping competitions as well as unofficial training events.

Our club provides a fabulous family-friendly atmosphere and we encourage young people to ride and to learn to enjoy all kinds of sport connected with horses and riding. We offer formal group lessons to riders, with instructors who are familiar with the Pony Club Syllabus of Instruction.

Our club is affiliated with Pony Club Association of Victoria, and supports both new and experienced riders to achieve their goals. We do this by promoting ideals of sportsmanship, citizenship and loyalty.

We provide instruction in horsemanship and hope to instil in members the proper care of animals.

Pony Club Membership
New members are welcome to come to a rally with their horse to "Come and try"

Rallies
Dandenong Ranges Horse and Pony club is operational on the second Sunday of every month for our monthly rally. New members can come and try for a day by contacting our DC.

Dressage, games, show jumping and cross country facilities are available at most rally days with top instructors.

Adult Rider Membership
We welcome riders aged over 25 years to join our club as a Friend of Dandenong Ranges.

Grounds & Facility Hire
Our club grounds and clubrooms are available for hire to interested persons and groups.

Facilities
Club Rooms - Our well-equipped club house is spacious and has a fully equipped kitchen, a moderate amount of informal seating and a wood heater which creates a family friendly atmosphere

Riding Services - We have a 70 X 30m all-weather sand arena, a 40 X 20m dressage sand arena, and a huge grass oval to accommodate competition size arenas. We also have numerous cross country jumps situated around the perimeter of the grounds, which includes a newly designed bank jump catering for Grade 1 to 5 horse/rider combinations, and our water jump which will also cater for Grades 1 to 6 is near completion.
