Dalton Street Reserve Playground, Sunshine West
Come to this playground and you will find the skeleton of a special dinosaur which became extinct in Brimbank 35 years ago, the blue carpet-osaur.
There are also more modern discoveries like a huge birds nest swing, aeroplane springer, stand-on spinner, stand-on see-saw, swings and a structure with a spiral slide, dual wave slides, single wave slide, a net vertical climbing cylinder, telescope, chain bridge, abacus, shop front, walkway and steps. Some wooden poles with lovely animal and bird stencil artwork stick out of the ground.
There is a shelter with table, BBQ, unshaded table, water tap, wooden seats and big grassy area.
A lovely new area for toddlers has been added which has a giant wooden frog, big python (let the kids know its not venomous but it can give you a big squeeze), dragonflies embedded in a log, lovely flower petal seats, wooden cubby house, rickety wooden bridge and an obstacle course through logs with steps cut in them.
There is also a 250m long concrete bike track around a grassy oval which starts / ends next to the playground and an outdoor gym.
