Cranross Tennis Club (Preston)

Cranross Tennis Club has two en tout cas courts and two synthetic clay courts located at WR Ruthven Reserve, Preston.

Cranross Tennis Club is a community based club that promotes access to the club for the whole of the local community with the underlying philosophy for access and equity considering social, cultural, physically diverse, disadvantaged, the very young, the aged and disabled groups.

The Club offers not only the opportunity for members and casuals to play tennis socially with family, friends or other members of the Club but also fields teams in the NENTG and NEJTA. The Club also has a strong Coaching program delivered by Future Demand Tennis.

Competition
Cranross has both Junior and Adult competition teams in NEJTA and NENTG associations.

NEJTA - The North Eastern Junior Competition is a Saturday morning Junior comp. There are 2 seasons each year, Autumn and Spring. The seasons are played during school terms. There is no competition on school holidays or long weekends. The competition accommodates children of all skill levels. Mixed teams are also available at the entry level to the competition.

NENTG - The club has 3 teams playing in the North Eastern Night Tennis Group, 2 ladies teams and 1 mens team. There are 2 seasons each year, Autumn and Spring. The seasons are played during school terms. There is no competition on school holidays or long weekends. Competition night is Tuesday night at 7pm for the Mens and Wednesday night for the ladies. There is also a Thursday night mixed team competition.

Social Play
The club offers Seniors social play Mondays and Wednesdays from 9am to 12 (approx).
There is also seniors social play on Saturday afternoons 1.30-5pm.
The seniors welcome new players and there is no obligation to attend every week! Join them for social tennis and a cup of tea or coffee!

Coaching
Future Demand Tennis delivers an extensive Tennis Coaching Program throughout the year. Alexei Demajo (Head Coach) and his Tennis Australia Qualified Coaching Team deliver progressive programs for Juniors and Adults catering for all levels of play.

For juniors, Future Demand Tennis delivers the ANZ Hot Shots program for 4-12 year olds as well as offering three levels of Squad Training (Recreational, Advanced & Performance) for players 12 years and over.

For adults, Future Demand Tennis delivers Adult Group Coaching, Cardio Tennis and FAST4 Matchplay sessions. We have lessons that suit players from beginners through to advanced competition players.

Private and semi-private coaching is also available throughout the week for Juniors and Adults.
