Cranbourne Lions Concert Band (Cranbourne East)
The Cranbourne Lions Concert Band is a community run, not-for-profit group that has been working to benefit the people of Cranbourne and its outlying suburbs since 1986. We have over 30 members from varied and diverse backgrounds who come together every Tuesday night to not only expand their musical abilities but to also have fun.
The band enjoys playing at an assortment of community and municipal functions throughout the year. We also plan and host our own events for the local community including our CLCB Concert Band Festival, Variety Concert and annual Musical Trivia Night.
Opening Hours:
The concert band rehearses Tuesday evenings 8:00pm to 10:00pm at The Factory (next to the Casey RACE pool in Cranbourne) and we welcome new members of any age and experience.
Who can join the band? - Just about anyone! If you play a musical instrument and are in high school or older, you are welcome to join.
Do I have to be good at playing an instrument to join? - Certainly not! Our band members come from many different ability levels; some have played all their lives, some are just starting, and some were regular players who gave it up and have returned after many years.
If you are still learning, feel free to just play the parts you feel confident with. You will find that if you are playing at a beginner's level, there will be someone in your section willing to help you if you need it.
If you are rusty, don't worry, that won't last long! The band members are all very supportive, and the environment in the band is warm and encouraging.
