Coolart Community Garden (Somers)

Initiated by a group of dedicated locals, the Coolart Community Garden is now up and running, taking on the old herb garden and making it new again. The herb garden is the site of the Luxton's vegetable garden that was overhauled in the mid 1980's.

This space is used as a community garden and contains a communal vegetable patch as well as individual allotments. The garden will provide a space for learning and skills sharing.

We welcome contributions and support from anyone who is interested. All tools are provided but bring your own gardening gloves.

Opening Hours:

We meet in the garden on Thursdays and Fridays between 10am and 12 noon.

Cost:

Membership of Coolart Community Garden is open to all financial members of the Friends of Coolart. Annual cost for individuals is $20 or for a household membership, $30.

Parks Victoria require Community Garden Members to hold a current Working With Children Card & register as a volunteer on Park Connect.
