Como Gardens Railway (The Basin)
The miniature railway operates on Open Days at Como Gardens at the Basin. It has a 650 meters long track whihc takes you through formal gardens and arches, over creek trestle bridges and back to the "Como Gardens" station.
During our open garden weekends we have frequent conducted tours of the vintage car museum. Other activities include visiting the Fairy Tree for face painting and children's activities plus visiting our aviaries where we have many beautiful birds including Belgium bantams, Polish chickens, Silky chickens, Lady Amherst pheasants bred for millinery purposes, peacocks and turkeys.
Opening Hours:
Como Gardens holds open days twice a year during autumn and spring. These are held on the third weekend of April and October.
Cost:
$7.50 entry fee - Children under 14 Free. Open Garden Weekend events are voluntarily manned and all proceeds go to Knox S.E.S. and St. John Ambulance.
