Coburg Tennis Club
The Coburg Tennis Club was formed in 1890 adjacent to one of Melbourne's most well known and notorious site's Pentridge Prison, now making way for housing development. The Club moved to its current site in Bush Reserve, Coburg in 1954.
The Coburg Tennis Club has also served the development of many Australian greats including champions such as Ashley Cooper in the 1950's and more recently Mark Philippoussis. The Club has also serviced the development of many players who have played or are playing in the satellite circuits both here in Australia and overseas, including Taso Vasiliadis, a former member of the Greek Davis Cup Squad.
The Coburg Tennis Club aims to be an inclusive club offering and connecting players of all abilities to a tennis option for you. Whether it be Coaching, Competition, Social or Casual we can connect you as a Juniors (<18) or Adult.
Coburg Tennis Club's facility include 6 en tout cas courts and a Hot Shots court. Four of the courts are fully lit.
Competition
The club offers the following competitions:
North Suburban Night Tennis Association, (NSNTA) - Competitions runs for two seasons and comprises of 14 weeks of home and away matches followed by finals. Grades range from A grade down to D grade with minimum of four players per team. Autumn season from February to June.
Spring season from August to November. Additional costs are ball and light fees.
Comprises of Ladies on Tuesday nights, Mixed Wednesday nights and Men's Thursday nights starting from 7pm.

Coaching
Program Director/Head Professional is Tass Vasiliadis who brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the Coburg Tennis Club. Having experienced numerous training programs in Australia and Europe, Tass offers an abundance of knowledge in structuring training programs that cater to the specific needs of individual tennis players. His experience as an elite player enables Tass to have a thorough understanding and flexibility to adapt to a players needs.
With his extensive experience Tass can provide all players with support, motivation, understanding, guidance, goal setting and a positive role model to be the best they can be.
