Clonbinane - Mount Disappointment Trail Bike Visitor Area
The Mount Disappointment Trail Bike Visitor Area is situated in the northern end of Mount Disappointment State Forest along Main Mountain Road. Located 3.5km from the entrance to the forest, the visitor area serves as an excellent launching place for your ride within Mount Disappointment State Forest.
Note: Mount Disappointment State Forest is a working forest. Be aware of log trucks and other heavy machinery that share the road with you.
Seasonal road closures - Some forest roads in Mount Disappointment State Forest are subject to seasonal road closure. These roads are closed from Thursday after the Queens Birthday Long weekend in June until the Thursday before Melbourne Cup Day in November.
Location and Access - Mount Disappointment is approximately 100km north of Melbourne's CBD, near the towns of Whittlesea, Wandong and Flowerdale. Mount Disappointment can be accessed via the Hume Freeway. Once in Wandong travel north on the Broadford Wandong Road to Spur Road, then follow the signs to the trail bike visitor area.
