The Classic Cinema screens a range of international arthouse and quality mainstream films in a sophisticated yet informal environment. Our eclectic mix of films means every taste is catered for; from big Hollywood blockbusters to the best in foreign cinema. The Classic is home to the best choc tops in town!

We believe in the complete 'cinematic experience' - ten big screens, four of which are completely new additions, beautifully appointed seating and a warm, friendly environment. Classic Cinemas is located directly across from Elsternwick station which is serviced by the Sandringham line.

BYO Baby Sessions

Check out our BYO baby sessions for parents with babies and toddlers. Breastfeeding is welcome, and the lights will remain dimmed throughout the film so that you can keep an eye on the kids. Park your pram in the foyer and carry your baby in!

BYO Baby sessions run every Wednesday around noon.

Note: BYO Baby sessions do not run during school holiday periods.

Classic Rooftop Cinema

Next Level Cinema. At the Classic Rooftop Cinema we will be playing the freshest new release films alongside some retro classics and special events.

Rooftop bar - Come up and see us sometime. Classic's rooftop bar is open to anyone - whether they're seeing a film or not (from 7:30pm only patrons with tickets to a film have access to our rooftop bar). It's a unique spot in Elsternwick to enjoy a drink and take in the view of the bay and surrounding rooftops as the sun sets.
